  • Hyundai to renovate Kanchipuram Govt. Hospital -16-6-2008
    Hyundai Motor India has today announced that it will spend about Rs. 1.2 Crore to renovate and install latest equipments in the Kanchipuram Government Hospital. While talking to the reporters here, Mr. S. Ganapathy, Sr. Vice President, HR and Administration said the company has obtained necessary permission from the district administration to carry out repair / renovation of building on the hospital premises. A sum of Rs. 80 lakhs would be spent on renovation and repair works where as Rs. 20 lakh would be allocated to install latest equipments to treat the patients. The renovation of the hospital will be completed on or before August 15, he added. Hyundai has been doing a lot of CSR activities under Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF). On domestic sale of each Hyundai car, a sum of Rs. 100/- is being donated to HMIF and the same has been spent for CSR activities. Recently, Hyundai has adopted Government I.T.I. Ulundurpet and has been developing the same with latest training equipments to ensure better and focused training to the students. Hyundai has a long term plan to provide job opportunities to its students. As part of its community health services, it has tied-up with Ramachandra Hospital at Porur to take medical facilities to the doorstep of the poor and the needy by arranging a Mobile Medical Van that consists of medicines, multi specialty doctors along with. This van to ply around the villages in Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur districts to reach patients and treat them on a daily basis.
  • The Brahmotsavam(Annual temple festival) of Sri Kachabeswarar Temple is underway in the Kanchipuram Town. The temple town, famous for its grand temple events, has round the year events and celebrations in temples. Apart from the special pujas which are performed in temples, the deities are taken out on the main streets of the town (called Raja Veedhis in Tamil) on various traditional Vahanas(vehicles) for a period of 10-11 days.

 Nu-tech to construct integrated township 'Megacity'
Chennai, Apr 3: Property developer and builder Nu-tech Associates would construct an integrated township "Megacity" at Enathur village on the Chennai-Bangalore highway in a 50 acre area with an investment of Rs 12 crore.
The proposed residential hub with premium amenities and modern comforts would have well-laid out 'Vasthu' designed plots and 44 acres of independent villas, besides a host of facilities, including a primary school and a hospital.

During the formal launch of the Megacity project here last night, bankers and film personalities recalled their long-time relationship with proprietor B Nagi Reddy and his father Vijaya Reddy, who was a renowned film director.

Andhra Bank DGM B N Murthy, who was the Chief guest, said the company has the reputation of completing their building projects on time and have fully satisfied customers with a record of over 100 residential complexes in just two decades.

Film distributor Keyar, actors Parthiban and Y Gee Mahendra and film producer A V M Saravanan offered their felicitations.

Falling under the Sriperumbudur locality, the residential complex would have access to world-class infrastructure as many telecom companies, MNCs and car manufacturers have set up their operations in and around the area.
